Hibs have today been linked with HNK Gorica defender Chieck Keita.
The Hibees seem to already have Josh Doig's replacement lined-up, as it looks like the young full back has played his last game for the club.
Doig, 19, was left out the Hibees 2-3 win over Motherwell at Fir Park on Sunday, as apparently TWO clubs have made a move.
Leeds Utd and Arsenal were the first two credited, but it soon changed to Burnley and Watford.
Whoever it is, that is close to signing the kid, Hibs are moving quickly to replace him.
Kieta, 25, is described as an attacking full-back and has impressed in the Prva HNL.
He can also play as a winger, and Hibs boss Jack Ross is known to like players who can play in a number of positions.
The news of Hibs interest in Kieta comes jusy days after the club announced a link-up with Croatian-based football consultancy Planet Football.
Kieta started his career with Italian side Virtus Entella, before winning a move to English Championship side Birmingham City for an undisclosed fee.
He only managed 12 games in three years after siging for Gianfranco Zola's side, before finding himself back in Italy, on loan with Serie A side Bologna
It was then another loan, this time in Belgium with Eupen, before his move to Croatia.
Kieta has played for Mali U21's at international level and has also been included in the full squad, but is yet to make an appearance.
Ed's View:
We don't know much about the player here at Hibs-Mad Towers, but on paper he looks a good edition.
It's good to see Hibs react for when young Josh eventually wins his big move.
We have the evergreen Lewis Stevenson and young Sean Mackie who can play at left back, but Mackie keeps picking up injuries at the minute.
Hibs definately need a few fresh faces in defence, the next week should be interesting.
