According to Sheffield Wednesday blog, "The Wednesday Blog" Hibs are in for Gillingham centre half Jack Tucker.
The 22-year-old is out-of-contract this summer and has decided to leave his hometown club.
Any move for 6ft 2in Tucker would demand a compensation fee, with the blog claiming Hibs would be looking at a £200,000 bill for the transfer.
However, that could put Hibs in the driving seat, as it's a cross border move, the fee is lower than what Wednesday would need to pay.
Tucker also has other suitors, with various news outlets reporting that Hull City are also interested in the player.
He has played 137 games for the Gills, scoring 4 goals and has been voted their Young Player of the Year FOUR times.
HIBS-MAD VIEW:
We've never heard of the player, but he looks a good prospect. To have the clubs he has chasing his signature, despite being an English League Two player, speaks volumes.
The Hibees have already secured the signings of QPR keeper David Marshall and Leeds United midfielder Nohan Kenneh in the last 24 hours - It promises to be a busy summer.
