Hibs linked with Fulham striker Kieron Bowie

The Edinburgh Evening News reports that Hibernian are considering a move for Fulham forward, Kieron Bowie.

At 21, Bowie signed with the English team from Raith Rovers in July 2020 on a pre-contract, having made his debut with Raith at the age of 16.

Although Bowie has not made an appearance for Fulham, he has been on loan at Northampton Town for the past two seasons, contributing to their promotion in his first year and scoring nine goals in his second.

In total, he has played 81 matches for Northampton, netting 14 goals.

Currently, Hibernian's only available striker is the Dutch player Dylan Vente, and manager David Gray is looking to bolster his attacking options with one or two more strikers.

Harry McKirdy is also in Hibs squad, but he is still recovering from significant heart surgery.

Additionally, wingers Martin Boyle and Elie Youan are options for the striker position.

Bowie is capped for Scotland's U21 team.

HIBERNIAN-MAD VIEW

An interesting one.

Bowie was seen as one of Scotland's big prospects a few years back, but like a lot of kids who go south, he seemed to dissapear into Fulham's youth system.

He has done well with Northampton, and may see a move back to Scotland and Hibs as a good move for his career.

He is more a winger than an out and out striker, but can play both positions and would give Hibs options in a number of positions.
