Hibs have been linked with a mover for former Hearts striker Cole Stockton by the Scottish Sun.
The 28-year-old spent a short time at Tynecastle during the 2017-18 season, but left without scoring a goal.
Stockton, who had struggled since leaving Tynecastle until the last two seasons with Morecambe in English League One, scoring 58 since joining the club in 2019 from Tranmere, including 26 last term.
IF Hibs are interested they would need to pay a fee, and fight off interest from Bolton Wanderers and Stockport County.
However, no quicker had the Sun claimed an exclusive, the Daily Record came along to claim Hibs are NOT interested in signing the English striker.
The Hibees are expected to be busy in the summer transfer market, with strikers high on the priority list.
Hibs-Mad View:
No sooner had the lad been linked with Easter Road by one source, another comes along and rubbishes it.
Stockton would be a controversial signing, not only with his Tynecastle links, but after some off-field antics that don't sit right.
He also struggled with the step-up from the English Lower Leagues the last time he was here, but he does seem to have improved over the last couple of years
Wether he is a target or not is up in the air, so it seems it's the waiting game on this one.
