Hibs are tonight being linked with a move for former AC Milan player Johad Ferretti.
According to Sport Witness, reports coming out of Italy suggest that the player has been on trial at East Mains and has impressed the Hibs management team.
Hibs are now said to be preparing to offer a contract to the French born player, who can play at right back or in central midfield.
Ferretti, 22, is a free agent after leaving Italian side Unione Calcio AlbinoLeffe.
If this move was to happen, it seems to suggest that Hibees boss Neil Lennon may have dropped his interest in former Motherwell man Tom Hateley, who has also trained at East Mains over the last few weeks.
Ferretti spent his youth career moving between Marseille, Genoa and AC Milan.
He was loaned out by Milan on a few occassions, having spells with Benevento Calcio, S.P.A.L. 2013 and Matera Calcio in the Italian lower leagues.
After leaving Milan, he signed for Unione Calcio AlbinoLeffe, but only managed 1 appearance.
He has been capped by Italy at U19 & U20 level.
