Hibs have today been linked with a move for Charlton Athletic winger Charlie Kirk.
The Hibees are said to be keen to land the 24-year-old after Aiden McGeady picked up a long-term injury in the recent pre-season friendly win over Norwich City.
According to journo Alan Nixon, Hibs will need to fight it out with Blackpool and Reading to land the former Crewe player.
Kirk spent time on loan at Blackpool last season, but was named on the bench for Charlton's first game of this season in a 2-2 draw with Accrington Stanley.
He started his career with Crewe, playing 206 games and scoring 32 times, as well as adding 41 assists.
Charlton paid a clause in his contract, thought to be £500,000 to take him to London, but he only managed 15 games before being loaned to Blackpool.
Kirk is contracted to 2025 and it would probably take a decent fee to land the player.
HIBS-MAD VIEW:
This looks like a good signing on paper should the Hibees push it through.
It's good to see the club reacting quickly to the news that Aiden McGeady will be out from anything from 6-12 weeks.
Another attacking option is also never a bad idea.
