Hibs boss Shaun Maloney has today been linked with a swoop for Celtic midfielder Ewan Henderson.
The January transfer window had only been open a matter of hours, and news broke that Hibs were eyeing their first capture.
The Daily Star is reporting that Hibs are keen on the 21-year-old, who is out-of-contract in the summer, and that Henderson is keen to move this month to get first team football.
The Scotland U21 international, brother of Hibs legend Liam, is also said to be open to following his brother to Italy, so the Hibees would need to move fast.
Celtic are said to be looking for add-ons in any deal to let Henderson leave this month, despite him playing only one game, against Real Betis in the Europa League group stages.
Henderson will now find game time even harder to come by at Parkhead, with the Glasgow club signing three Japanese internationals in the last 24 hours.
Overall he has played 12 times for Celtic, and has also had loan spells with Ross County and Dunfermline.
HIBERNIAN-MAD VIEW:
Henderson looks a decent prospect on paper, a player Hibs could develop like they did with his brother.
Hibs boss Shaun Maloney looks to have already got started in shaping the squad he wants at Easter Road.
The Hibees are likely to be quite busy in January, could Henderson be the first arrival?
