Hibs have today been linked with a move for former Kilmarnock loan player Alexei Eremenko.
The 30-year-old attacking midfielder, who can play through the middle or on either wing, is a free agent after leaving Kazakhstan side FC Kairat.
Eremenko was a sensation while on loan at Kilmarnock from Russian side Metalist Kharkiv during the 2010/11 season.
He has since played for Russian giants Rubin Kazan as well as FC Kairat since leaving Killie.
A couple of today's tabloids have Hibs fighting it out with a couple of unnamed lower league English sides for his signature.
SPL sides Aberdeen and Motherwell have also been credited with an interest.
Eremenko confirmed he has offers from Scotland, he said:
"I have had offers from clubs in Scotland, China and Japan.
"I could easily play for any of the clubs in Scotland, except, perhaps, Celtic.
"I still have three or four years left as a player, so my next move is very important."
