Hibs have today been linked with a move for St Mirren midfielder Keanu Baccus.
According to FTBL.COM, Hibs are looking to pounce after a move to Bolton Wanderers fell through.
The 25-year-old was on the verge of a £250,000 move to the English side, but he was apparently shocked at the pay packet on offer, which was a small wage rise from his St Mirren salary, and turned the move down.
The Hibees are now ready to swoop for the 5 times capped Socceroo, but will face competition from an unnamed English Championship side.
Baccus has previously been linked with a move to Ipswch Town, but was told a move to Portman Road could harm his international chances.
HIBS-MAD VIEW
Baccus would be an excellent signing.
He has been oustanding for the Paisley side, and it seems he wants to move on.
Hibs can offer him a bigger salary, European Football and bigger exposure that could help his international chances.
With Kyle Magennis leaving for Kilmarnock, Baccus would be the ideal replacement in that position.
Will Lee Johnson make the move?
Let's see.
