Hibs goalkeeper Yves Ma-Kalambay has today said he would like to hold talks with the club over a new contract. The 6ft 6in Belgian international goalkeeper was signed by ex Hibs manager John Collins on a 3-year-deal from Chelsea in 2006, a deal that reportedly cost the club £250,000 in compensation. His contract at Easter Road is up this summer, ‘Maka’ can talk to interested clubs about a pre-contract agreement from January 1st, but he is keen to stay in Edinburgh. Ma-Kalambay has struggled to hold down a regular spot in the Hibees first team this season, due to the form of Graham Stack, who signed from English Championship side Plymouth Argyle in the summer. The 23-year-old said: "Of course I want to stay here, this is the club that gave me the opportunity as a youngster and I will always be grateful. “Hibs are definitely in my heart, it is here I played my first match. "I just want to know what is going to happen to me but so far nothing has been said.
