Hibs keeper Jojo Wollacott signs for Crawley Town

Hibs have revealed today that goalkeeper Jojo Wollacott has joined Crawley Town on a permanent deal.

The 27-year-old has signed a two-year-deal with the English League One club and becomes the latest exit at Easter Road.

It's unclear if a fee was involved or if it was a free transfer.

Wollacott joined the Hibees from Charlton Athletic last summer for an undisclosed fee, but due to injury only managed 8 appearances for the club.

The Ghanian international becomes the latest victim of David Gray's Easter Road cull.

Speaking to the official club website, Sporting Director Malky Mackay said:

“First of all I would like to thank Jojo for his efforts during his time with us.

“Unfortunately, we couldn’t guarantee Jojo as much game time as he would like, we agreed it was best for him to continue his career down south, in a league that he knows well.

“Everyone at the Club wishes Jojo the best of luck for the future.”

HIBERNIAN-MAD VIEW

Another one out the door, and it's another that seemed inevitable.

He picked up and injury early in his Hibs career and never really recovered.

It seems best that he heads back south of the border.

Good luck Jojo from everyone at Hibs-Mad!
