Hibs boss Colin Calderwood has today revealed that young goalkeeper Calum Antell has joined East Stirlingshire on loan.
Calderwood also revealed that Welsh youngster actually joined East Stirling in the summer, and has already played three games for the third division club.
Antell made his debut in the 3-2 Ramsdens Cup defeat to Dumbarton, as well as the 1-0 league win over Montrose, and the 4-2 league defeat to Berwick Rangers.
Calderwood thinks the move will be a superb experience for the former Swindon Town kid, speaking to the club's official website, he said:
"We've got Mark Brown and Graham Stack both fit, so we have to get Calum some match action.
"It is a policy I've always used, and it is a policy that has real benefits. We saw that with Callum Booth last year the experience of match action really brought him on.
"Calum has gone to East Stirling, and we have had another couple of enquires regarding our young players.
"We'll pick and chosse the right place for the boys and we'll encourage them to go and perform on a Saturday."
