Hibs have today joined the race to sign Blackburn Rovers striker Nick Blackman. The 21-year-old English striker has been a sensation while on loan at Motherwell for the past 6 months, scoring 11 goals for the Steelmen. Aberdeen have also expressed an interest in landing the player, and Motherwell are keen to extend his loan deal until the end of the season. According to reports in today’s newspapers Hibs have now joined the list of clubs keen on the player, and have made Blackburn aware of their interest. Hibs boss Colin Calderwood is desperate to bolster his squad during the January transfer window, and has revealed that he has already failed in bids to land a couple of players.
