Hibs were today linked with a move to bring former player Dean Shiels back to the club.
The 26-year-old is currently on loan at Kilmarnock from Championship side Doncaster Rovers, and has impressed at Rugby Park, scoring 6 goals in 18 games.
Shiels left the Hibees in 2009, following over 140 appearances for the club, scoring over 30 goals.
New Hibs boss Pat Fenlon has now been linked with a move for the Northern Ireland internationalist, as he looks to re-build the squad at Easter Road.
Doncaster are said to be keen to sell the attacking midfielder, but Hibs are thought to be after loan deal.
Shiels joined Doncaster from the Hibees for a fee of around £100,000, he has played over 90 games and scored 14 goals for Rovers.
