It's been revealed tonight that Hibs are in a battle with English side Huddersfield Town to sign Joe Hodge.

Hodge has been training with the Hibees at East Mains for the last week and according to Express and Star, it will be a battle to land the Republic of Ireland U21 player on loan.

Huddersfield had been linked with the player earlier in the transfer window, but no deal was done.

According to Express and Star journo Liam Keen on X, Wolves are talking to both club's about a possible deal.

21-year-old Hodge came through Manchester City's youth system before joining Wolves.

He has played 11 times for the Midlands club, 6 times in the English Premiership.

Hodge spent a time with QPR on loan last season and played 8 times.

HIBERNIAN-MAD VIEW

We know nothing about the kid, but the fact he came through Manchester City's academy and that he has already played a handful of times in the English top tier suggest he something about him.

Hibs need to bolster midfield, is Hodge the answer?
