According to Hampshire Live, Hibs are in a three-way battle to land free agent defender Terell Thomas.
The 26-year-old Central defender has been a free agent after leaving English Championship side Reading at the end of last season, and he has now been linked with a move to Hibs.
The report suggests the Hibees will battle it out with Motherwell and Portsmouth (who Thomas has spent pre-season training with) to land the player.
Thomas has played in Portsmouth's last two pre-season games against Bristol City and Gilligham as they prepare for the new English League One season, so would be ready to contribute straight away, should we decide to make a move.
The 6ft 3in St Lucian international has spent his entire career in England, starting with Charlton Athletic, and has also played for the likes of Wimbledon, Crewe and Wigan Athletic.
Hibs boss Lee Johnson admitted after today's 1-4 win over Bonnyrigg Rose that the Hibees had "a few plates spinning" in regards to transfers.
Will Thomas be one?
HIBS-MAD VIEW:
Hibs have been crying out for another centre half all summer, it's good to see us finally, by the looks of it, making some moves.
Thomas has plenty experience, and looks, on paper, to fit the bill of what we need.
However, other clubs are interested, and he has spent quite a while with Portsmouth during pre-season.
Let's wait and see if there is any legs in this one.
