Hibs assistant boss Garry Parker has revealed that Sunderland defender Tom Robson is on trial at Easter Road.
The left back is training at the Hibees East Mains Training Facility, in an attempt to impress Hibs boss Neil Lennon.
Robson, 21, is lookin to leave the Stadium of Light, after becoming frustrated at the lack of first team action - he was handed his debut on the final day of last season, a 2-2 draw with Watford.
Sunderland are willing to let the U23 captain leave in January, either on loan, or a permanent deal.
Parker said:
“We’ve had the lad here today and I think he’s here again tomorrow.
“You can’t tell off one training session but he’s here for a few days so we’ll have a good look at him.”
Hibs could face some competion for his signature, with Barnsley also said to be interested in the player.
