Hibs have tonight been linked with a move for Blackpool wide-man Demetri Mitchell.
According to the Daily Record, the Hibees will use some of the cash from the imminent £3m sale of Martin Boyle to Saudi Side Al Faisaly, to attempt to bring the former Hearts player to Easter Road.
Mitchell had two impressive, previous loan spells at Tynecastle from Manchester United, before he moved to the Chmpionhip club in 2020.
The 25-year-old will be a free agent in the summer, although Blackpool have the option of entending his deal by another season, written into his current contract.
Hibs boss Shaun Maloney is keen to bring in a left sided attacking player, and will use the Boyle windfall to push a deal through, with US international Chris Mueller expected to take Boyle's position on the right.
Hibernian-Mad View:
It's good to see Hibs being positive in the transfer market again.
Boyle will be a huge loss, but we already have his likely replacement in Mueller already in the building, and we currently only have Jamie Murphy who is an out and out lefty.
Mitchell can play wide left, as well as wing back and full back, so his signing makes sense.
To be honest, we here at Hibs-Mad Towers expected the club to go back for St Mirren talisman Jamie McGrath, who we had a £350,000 offer for accepted on transfer deadline day in the summer, only for the deal to fall through.
Aberdeen's attempt to sign him fell apart, so we are surprised Hibs have not went back in.
