It's been revealed today that Hibs are interested in signing Barnsley defender Adam Jackson.
The 24-year-old is out-of-contract in the summer, meaning the Hibees could sign the former Middlesbrough youth on a pre-contract deal now.
Jackson was spotted at last month's Edinburgh derby, and is thought to have held talks with Hibs boss Paul Heckingbottom while in Edinburgh.
Heckingbottom was the manager who took Jackson to Oakwell, and the Scottish Sun claim Jackson would be keen to link up with his former gaffer again at Easter Road.
Jackson only made 10 appearances for the Oakwell outfit as they were promoted from English League One last season, however manager Daniel Stendal has said he would like to keep his squad intact if he can.
Jackson has also previously had loan spells with Hartlepool, Halifax and Coventry City.
