Hibs extend Jorge Claros loan deal - OFFICIAL

Hibs have today announced that they have extended the loan of Honduran midfielder Jorge Claros.

The 27-year-old has been on loan at Easter Road since January 2012, and has played 37 times for the club.

Claros is on loan from Honduran outfit Motagua, and his parent club stated last week that the deal was done, but Hibs had insisted there was a few niggles to iron out and have finally announced it this afternoon.

Speaking to the official club website the player said:

"I'm very happy to be staying with Hibs. I've enjoyed my time at the club and believe I've improved as a player.

"My family also feel settled here in Edinburgh and that was a very important factor for me.

"Now the loan deal has been sorted I'm looking forward to helping Hibs enjoy a strong finish to the season."

Hibs boss Pat Fenlon also added:

"It was always our intention to keep all our loan players at the club, so the fact Jorge is staying is a real positive.

"We've managed to keep Jorge, Leigh and Ryan while also adding Scott - that's four international players, so it has been a productive transfer window."

The Hibees are still in the market for a winger, and with Fenlon stating the deal for former Rangers winger Gregg Wylde had went cold, the next day or so before the window closes could be an interesting one for Hibs fans.
