Hibs defender Paul McGinn set to leave

According to the Scottish Sun, Hibs defender Paul McGinn is on the way out of the club.

The 31-year-old Scotland international only signed a new deal last week, after triggering a clause in his contract due to appearances, that automatically extended his contract at Easter Road.

It's now being reported that new manager Lee Johnson has decided that the former St Mirren defender is not part of his plans and can leave the Hibees.

McGinn played 34 times for the Hibees last season, and has made 91 appearances since signing 3 seasons ago, and made his Scotland debut whilst with the club.

HIBS-MAD VIEW:

Another curve ball today, we thought McGinn was staying on for another season, but it now seems he will be allowed to leave.

Of course, now that he is under contract, if he couldn't find a new club, he would stay with the Hibees.

Paul has been a good, solid, signing for the club and his form was so good he got himself a deserved Scotland cap.
