It has been revealed this afternoon, that Hibs defender Paul Hanlon has signed a new deal with the club.
The 21-year-old has signed a two-year extension to his current deal, tying him to Easter Road until the summer of 2016.
The dyed in wool Hibee told the official site:
"I'm delighted to have signed a new deal; I love playing for Hibernian.
"Next season we want to give the fans something to cheer about by improving with the aim of challenging for a place in Europe.
"I've supported the club all my life and been with Hibernian since I was 14, so being given the honour of captaining the team recently has been a massive honour.
"That is a privilege and something that I will never take for granted. I've always enjoyed my time with the club, I feel settled here and now I want to help Hibernian achieve something special."
Hanlon is a graduate of the Hibees famous youth academy, making the breakthrough under former boss Mixu Paatelainen in 2008.
He has now played in excess of 75 games for the club, scoring 4 goals in the process.
Hanlon is capped at both U19 and U21 level for Scotland.
