Hibs have been dealt a big blow ahead of Sunday's Edinburgh derby at Easter Road, with the news that defender Jordon Forster is facing 6 weeks out.
Forster has broken his foot, the fifth metatarsal on his right foot, in training on Thursday.
It leaves the Hibees with only four fit defenders, with Liam Fontaine also struggling to make the game with a thigh injury.
Forster posted a photo on twitter, with the comment “Unfortunately I fractured my foot on Thursday morning! Rest and recovery. Then a lot of hard work to come back even stronger!”
Hibs boss Alan Stubbs added:
“Unfortunately it looks like Jordon has done his metatarsal so he’s going to be out for the best part of four-to-six weeks.
“We’ll just have to get on with it, it was one of those things. It was an innocuous way how it happened.
“We’ve basically got four fit defenders, that’s where it is.”
