The 34-year-old veteran was with Aberdeen last season, where he impressed scoring 2 goals and supplying 9 assists in just 15 games.

Aberdeen were keen to keep him, but contract talks with new Dons boss Jimmy Thelin broke down and he left Pittodrie for free.

The Canadian international was apparently at East Mains today undegoing a medical, and announcement is expected in the next day or so.

Hoilett has a wealth of experience having played for the likes of Reading, Blackburn Rovers and QPR

He has been capped by Canada 63 times and played in all three group games of the 2022 World Cup.

HIBERNIAN-MAD VIEW

On paper he brings a wealth of experience and with left wing being his strongest position, it brings competition for Elie Youan.

He did well with Aberdeen last season, and would add some much needed firepower to the front line.

Let's see if we get it accross the line.

Moan the Hibs!
