Hibs chasing young Dundee midfielder Kevin McDonald???

Last updated : 07 August 2007 By Steve Forbes

www.Hibernian-mad.co.uk understands that Hibs boss John Collins is keeping tabs on young Dundee midfielder Kevin McDonald.

McDonald, 18, has been a sensation since breaking in to the
Dundee first team last season and has now made over 60 appearances for the Dens Park outfit.

Collins watched the player at the weekend against Livingston and is said to have been very impressed with the exciting youngster after he turned in a man of the match performance in the 2-0 win for Dundee.

Celtic had a reported bid of £70,000 turned down for the player last year, with the bid being classed as "derisory" by the Dundee board.

The player also stated at the time, that he would rather stay at Dundee and gain some first team experience, instead of moving to the Glasgow side.

The Scotland U-19 international also has English Premiership sides Everton and Aston Villa keeping tabs on his progress, so Hibs could face a fight for his signature, if Collins decides to make his move.
