Hibs have today been linked with Newtongrange Star winger Joe Dunbar.

The 24-year-old has spent a few days training at Hibs' new £5m state-of-the-art training facility, in an attempt to impress Hibs boss Mixu Paatelainen.

Hibs boss Mixu Paatelainen said:

"Joe trained with us for a week a couple of months ago and did well so I went to see how he played for his own club.

"I went to watch the game out of interest. They are two very good junior sides."

We here at Hibernian-mad.co.uk also understand that the Hibees have been impressed with
Dunbar's Newtongrange Star team mate Paul Forbes.

The 26-year-old left sided player can play anywhere on the left flank and we understand that Hibs had a serious look at the player, but may have been put off by his age.

To sign a player, maybe even two, from the Junior ranks of Scottish football, to take him to the SPL, would be a sensational move by Hibs - not seen in many a year.
