Hibs youngster Callum Booth has tonight been rewarded for his fine form, by landing the SPL Young Player of the Month Award for February. The 18-year-old broke through into the Hibees first team at the start of the month, and this has coincided with the Hibees going on their best winning streak in 6 years. During the month of February Booth has helped the club to four straight wins, against Kilmarnock, Inverness and two against St Mirren. Add to this another win on Tuesday night, against Hamilton Accies, and its five straight wins in the SPL, with the Hibees moving away from a relegation dogfight, and into top six contention. Booth has been superb during this run, and even scored an absolute peach of a goal, some 30 yards out, against Inverness as Hibs won 2-0. The youngster spent the first part of this season on loan at Glebe Park with Brechin City, and last season on loan with Stirling Albion, and earned rave reviews with both clubs. He has already received his first Scotland U21 cap, and looks to have a massive future in the game, after becoming the latest youngster to roll of the prolific Hibs Youth Academy production line. Well done Callum from everyone at Hibs-Mad, a well deserved accolade.
