Hibs boss Mixu Paatelainen was today at the national stadium, Hampden Park in Glasgow, in an attempt to have his latest touchline ban receded.

The former Hibees front man failed in his bid to have a four-game ban reversed, a ban which he picked up as the Hibees crashed 4-3 to lowly Morton in the CIS Cup in late August.

The beaks decided the original ban handed out to Paatelainen, for venting his anger at blunder ref Ian Brines, was justified and the ban will kick in after Saturday's visit to Parkhead to face Celtic.

Hibs assistant manager Donald Park revealed that Paatelainen wasn't happy with the decision, but that the Hibees boss would serve the ban without complaint.

Park Said:

"Mixu's obviously very disappointed but he'll take it on the chin and get on with it.

"It's not about me taking command in the dugout - the players take command on the park.

"Mixu will still be in command, although the mobile phone might be red hot, right enough."
