Hibs boss Mixu Paatelainen has decided today, NOT to extend the loan deal of young Ross Campbell at Dunfermline.
The 21-year-old Scotland U21 international joined the Pars on an initial one-month loan deal, and Dunfermline boss Jim McIntyre was keen to extend it.
Hibs boss Paatelainen has refused this request, citing that Campbell has not been given enough first team action to justify another loan period.
Campbell has featured a couple of times during his loan spell and also scored a 90th minute winner against Morton at Cappielow a few weeks back.
Pars boss McIntyre was disappointed to be losing Campbell and speaking to the Dunfermline Courier said:
"He's away.
"Hibs wanted him back.
"We wanted to keep him, but I can understand he hadn't played enough, so they wanted him back.
"When you put players out on loan you want them to play.
"We were the same with Greg Ross (who was on loan at Cowdenbeath).
"He didn't play enough with Cowdenbeath, so we totally understand and thank Hibs for having him."
