Hibs boss John Hughes has today been linked with the vacant managers’ job at Premiership side Burnley.
Burnley are looking for a new boss after Owen Coyle stated his desire to leave, after an approach from fellow Premiership side Bolton Wanderers.
It’s thought Coyle recommended his former Falkirk co-manager to replace him at Turf Moor.
Hughes has been in charge of the Hibees since the summer, after leaving Falkirk to take charge of his boyhood heroes.
During that time he has built an exciting and winning side in just six months, one that just a couple of weeks ago was being talked about as SPL title contenders, and who currently sit just 4 points off a Champions League place.
Hibs currently sit 3rd in the SPL, and have lost just once in their last 13 games, following the 1-1 draw with Hearts in the Edinburgh derby at Easter Road last weekend.
