Hibs boss Neil Lennon has moved to deny reports that the Hibees are planning to offer St Johnstone winger Danny Swanson a pre-contract.
The 29-year-old is out-of-contract in the summer, and is free to speak to teams in January.
According to reports in yesterday's tabloids, Lennon was keen to bring the on form former Hearts player to Easter Road.
Hibs had apparently been on the verge of offering the player a pre-contract deal to sign in the summer.
Lennon has moved to rubbish this claim.
He said:
"I don’t know where the Swanson story’s come from, if I was going to make contact, the first person I’d call would be Tommy Wright, there has been no contact there."
