Hibs have today made a bid for Scunthorpe midfielder Michael O'Connor.
The 24-year-old Iron midfielder has been a stand out for his club this season, and Hibees boss Pat Fenlon seems keen to bring him to Easter Road before the transfer window closes tommorow night.
Fenlon is currently trying to bolster his Hibees squad as he looks to drag them up the SPL table.
Sky Sports are reporting that Hibs tabled a bid yesterday afternoon, but so far no news has been revealed about the amount, or if the bid was accepted or not.
The Northern Ireland internationalist has previosuly been at Easter Road on trial, when Mixu Paatelainen was manager, but a deal fell through at the time.
O'Connor went on to sign for the Iron in a reported £200,000 deal from Crewe Alexandra.
Scunthorpe boss David Beeby said:
"We generally don't talk about any transfer deals until they're completed," he said.
"Michael's still our player and, to be honest, I'd be surprised if he wasn't come the end of tomorrow.
"We wouldn't talk about any deal or offer received on any player. We only generally confirm either a signing or a departure as and when a deal is done.
"Read into that as you want, but I'd be surprised if Michael wasn't a Scunthorpe player come the end of tomorrow."
O'Connor is out-of-contract in the summer, and is free to talk to intersted club's about a possible pre-contract agreement.
