Irish club Boehmians have tonight confirmed on their official website, that Hibs have aproached the club to speak to thier manager Pat Fenlon, about the vacant managers seat in Leith.
The Hibees are currently searching for a replacement for sacked manager Colin Calderwood, who left the club last month.
Fenlon is currently 1/6 On with most bookmakers to take over the Easter Road hot-seat, with some even closing betting.
A statement on the Bohemians site read:
Bohemian FC confirms that Hibernian FC this afternoon (Wednesday, 23rd November) sought and was given permission to speak to Pat Fenlon about the managerial vacancy at Hibernian.
42-year-old Fenlon has been with Bohemians since 2008, in that time he has landed 2 FAI League Titles, 1 FAI Cup, 1 League of Ireland Cup and 1 Setanta Cup.
He also landed the FAI League Title 3 times whilst manager of Shelbourne.
Fenlon has also managed Derry City and Republic of Ireland's U23 side for short spells.
