Hibs have today announced a new three-year-deal with Crabbie's to sponsor the clubs strips from next season. Crabbie's are a Leith company, and have recently seen their sales figures rocket due to the popular Crabbie's Alcoholic Ginger Beer. The company will sponsor Hibs, not only on the first team jerseys, but also the clubs U19 and Ladies sides as well. Hibs will proudly display the Crabbie’s logo on the front of their shirts in the SPL next season, with the U19’s and Ladies carrying the company’s “John Crabbie’s” moniker, which is the non alcoholic side of the company. “John Crabbie’s” will also be on all junior shirt sales from next season. Hibs director Fyfe Hyland is delighted with the deal, he said:
"To clinch such a deal in the current financial climate with such a prestigious brand is fantastic. It brings together two famous Leith brands, one which recognises the heritage of both Crabbie's and Hibernian Football Club.
"Crabbie's are very ambitious, a local brand operating in a global market and this association with Hibernian gives them a platform to promote that brand.
"We started speaking to them at the end of last year and we've worked very hard to complete a deal with which both ourselves and Crabbie's are delighted.”
Crabbie’s, of course, replaces out going sponsor McEwen Fraser, but Hyland revealed that the housing company is still keen to be involved at Easter Road, he added:
"We've had a good relationship with them and we are discussing what their future involvement will be."
