According to reports tonight, Hibs have agreed a fee with Barnsley for midfielder Stevie Mallan.
The Hibees have been chasing the former St Mirren kid all summer, and they are expected to complete a deal as early as tomorrow.
Hibs are hoping to push the deal through in time for Mallan to be available for the Europa League clash with Faroe Islands side Runavik next Thursday.
The 22-year-old has struggled to hold down a permanent place in the Tykes side since signing in a £200,000 deal from St Mirren in May 2017, making only 8 appearances for the now League One side after their relegation.
Details of the length of contract Mallan has been offered at Easter Road are still unclear, but he is expected to become the Hibees third summer signing, after the £100,000 signing of Florian Kamberi and loan capture of Liverpool keeper Adam Bogdan.
