Hibs have today let Hungarian U21 goalkeeper David Grof leave Easter Road.

The 19-year-old was convicted of drink driving in December and it's thought this has has hastened his exit from the club.

Grof joined the Hibees from Hungarian club Vasas Budapest, and was once hailed "an absolute certainty" to become a future Hibees No1 by ex academy director John Park, now at Celtic.

He only managed one appearance in a Hibs jersey, during this seasons shocking 4-3 loss at Easter Road to Morton in the Scottish League Cup.

Grof spent time on trial at West Brom in January but a move failed to materialise.

The young keeper still had 18 months left on his contract, but he has been allowed to leave the club by under-fire manager Mixu Paatelainen.
