Freed Hibs midfielder Kevin McDonald joins Airdrie United!

WWW.HIBERNIAN-MAD.CO.UK can reveal that freed Hibs midfielder Kevin McDonald has re-joined Scottish Second Division side Airdrie United.

McDonald, 22, came through the Hibs youth system after then chief scout John Park spotted him playing for a local boys' side in the North East.

The Geordie born midfielder spent some time on loan at Airdrie last season from Hibs and he has decided to sign for Airdrie despite having other offers on the table.

His Hibs contract run out on June 30th, leaving him to speak to any interested clubs. Other clubs interested in the player are reported to have been Forfar Athletic and
Brechin City.

Speaking to the official Airdrie website, McDonald said:

"I enjoyed my time here last year and I like the set up. It was a disappointing end to the season but hopefully we can put that right this year and I look forward to playing my part".
