Former Hibs midfielder Brian Kerr has been handed the chance to resurrect his career with Inverness Caledonian Thistle.
New ICT boss Terry Butcher has offered the 27-year-old former Scotland internationalist the chance to train with the highlanders.
Kerr has been a free agent since being freed from his contract at Easter Road in the summer, and has struggled to impress in trials with a number of clubs.
Livingston, Falkirk and Brighton have all failed to follow up their interest after an initial trial.
MLS club Toronto FC had been keen on Kerr following a trial, but his wage demands scuppered any chance of a deal.
Kerr has only just recently spoke of the possibility of giving up football having failed to find himself a club, but his former Motherwell boss has offered a lifeline.
Hibs signed Kerr on a pre-contract agreement from Motherwell in the summer of 2007, but when then manager John Collins left the club, he found his chances at Easter Road limited.
Mixu Paatelainen took over from Collins and subsequently ended the Easter Road career of Kerr by releasing him.
As well as playing for the Hibees and Motherwell, Kerr has also had stints at Newcastle United, Livingston and Coventry City.
Kerr has played over 150 games in his career, 25 with the Hibees and has 3 Scotland caps.
