Ex Chelsea star Joe Keenan impressing Hibs while on trial???

Hibs trialist Joe Keenan is apparently impressing Mixu Paatelainen on his trial stint at East Mains....According to a Melbourne Victory employee anyway.

Melbourne Victory's football operations manager Gary Cole has hinted that the player's trial is going well.

"Joe Keenan is trialling with Hibs in Scotland and apparently training quite well," Cole said.

"He's got a year to run on his contract here. But if things work out well in Scotland, we wouldn't stand in the way."

Keenan joined the Victory from Dutch side Willem II but has struggled to hold down a place in the A-League giant's side, after an apparent fall out with their head coach Ernie Merrick.

The 25-year-old former Chelsea left full back has been at Hibs new £5m-state-of-the-art training facility over the last couple of weeks and could be on the verge of landing a contract, watch this space.
