Eric Stevenson R.I.P

Hibs legend Eric Stevenson has passed away aged 74, following a brave fight against Cancer.

The winger played for the Hibees from 1960-1971, making over 390 appearances, scoring 79 goals.

Stevenson started his career with Hearts, but was was fired for a "contract irregularity" and left to join the Hibees, making his debut at 17.

Stevenson played in the Fairs Cup Semi Final against Roma in 1961 and also played against the likes of Hamburg, Napoli & Red Star Belgrade in European competiton.

Eric was inducted in to the Hibernian Hall of Fame in 2012.

He also had a spell with Ayr United for two years after leaving Hibs.
