It's been revealed in the press overnight that Hibs boss Neil Lennon has failed in a bid to sign striker Emile Heskey.

The veteran signed for Lennon at Bolton Wanderers last season, but has decided he would rather coach now than play.

Speaking to the Edinburgh Evening News, he said:

“I took a call [about Hibs] but I am now happy to do coaching rather than playing. There was interest but for me it is the coaching side that interests me,”

38-year-old Heskey has had a stellar career, having played for the likes of Liverpool, Leicester City & Aston Villa. He was also capped 62 times by England.
