According to numerous reports this evening, Hibs striker Dylan Vente could be on his way out of Easter Road.
News started to come out of the Netherlands that Eredivisie side PEC Zwolle have contacted the Hibees about his availability, and that the player asked to speak to them.
There is now rumours that Vente has already left Edinburgh and is on the way to his homeland to discuss a move, but this has not been confirmed.
Vente joined the Hibees last summer from Roda JC in a £700,000 deal, and started on fire, scoring 5 goals in 5 games.
However when Nick Montgomery replaced Lee Johnson, Monty started to use him deeper, and the goals dryed up.
Vente then ended the season in frustration, picking up an injury.
New Hibs boss David Gray handed the striker a clean slate for the new season, and he was played as an out and out striker, and he scored a hat-trick in his first game against Elgin City in the Premier Sports Cup, but has failed to score since.
Zwolle are thought to be pushing for a loan deal, as Hibs would be looking to recoup a lot of their £700,000 outlay.
Vente has scored 11 goals in 43 appearances for Hibs.
HIBERNIAN-MAD VIEW
We are quite surprised with this one.
Dylan knows where the goals are, and despite a patchy first year at Easter Road, it always feels like he is about to break into a scoring spree.
He looks a striker short of confidence, but playing him almost as an attacking midfielder for a big chunk of the season feels like a waste.
If he only leaves on loan, then it could do him the world of good and we get him back a better player full of confidence.
However if he leaves on a permanent, it may be a move we end up regretting.
Time will tell on this one.
