Hibs U20 side travelled to Arbroath last night to play their Dundee Utd counterparts and come home with all three points.

The young Hibees took the lead through the ever impressive and on form Jason Cummins on the 23 minute mark.

Dundee Utd responded quickly and made it 1-1 just three minutes later.

Euan Smith (who had replaced the injured Cody Mullhall through injury) put the Hibees straight back in the lead, just another three minutes later.

Fraser Mullen crossed the ball for the young forward prod home.

The teams went in 1-2 at half time.

The second half had plenty of action, with United playing well in spells, and even hit the post at one point.

Hibs also had good spells but there was no further scoring.

Hibs held on for the win.

Republic of Ireland U19 international Cody Mullhall was taken to hospital following his injury, and although an x-ray shows no fractures or brakes, the youngster is expected back at the hospital today to assess wether he has suffered ligament damage to his ankle.

A big blow for Mullhall, considering his explosive start in the green and white since signing for the Hibees in the summer.

First team players Fraser Mullen, Paul Cairney and Danny Handling all got valuable game time.

Mullen has been out the picture the last few weeks at first team level, while both Cairney and Handling are on their way back from long term injuries.
