English side Doncaster Rovers are said to be on the trail of Hibs and Northern Ireland midfielder Dean Shiels.
The Championship side, managed by
Sean O' Driscoll, are said to be keen to talk to Shiels about a pre-contract agreement.Shiels, 23, is out of contract at the end of the season and is attracting a lot of interest for his signature.
Rangers, Plymouth Argyle, Burnley, Ipswich Town and Crystal Palace are all thought to be monitoring his situation.
Hibs boss Mixu Paatelainen is desperate to keep Shiels, currently being dogged by a mystery ankle injury, at Easter Road.
The Keepmoat Stadium club are said to be on the verge of making their move and that could spark a fight for Shiels signature.
Shiels, has played 120 games for the Hibees, scoring 24 goals.
He has also been capped 7 times by Northern Ireland.
