Former Aberdeen defender Mikey Devlin has been pictured training at the Hibees East Mains Training Facility.
The Hibees have taken the 29-year-old on trial for the rest of the week with an eye on a permanent deal should he impress.
Devlin is a free agent after leaving Fleetwood Town earlier this week, and Hibs boss Lee Johnson has confirmed he has been given a chance at HTC, he said:
“It’s no secret that we’re looking for potentially one more.
“It could be Michael Devlin. He’s in the building at the moment.
“I know he’s had his recent injury history but all reports we’ve had in terms of his last club have been positive. It’s an opportunity for us to have a look at him and him to have a look at us for three or four days.”
The Scotland international made his name with Hamilton Accies, before winning a move to Pittodrie in 2018.
He spent four years at Pittodrie, but his time was blighted by injury and he only made 51 appearances in that time.
Devlin left Pittodrie last summer for Fleetwood Town, managed by former Hibs midfielder Scott Brown, on a short-term deal, which ended last week.
HIBS-MAD VIEW:
He was a very good player a few years back, and forced his way into the Scotland squad.
The only worry would be his fitness, he has only managed 6 games in the last 3 seasons, and only 4 this season.
If he impresses, maybe a short-term deal until the summer would suit both parties.
