Chris Humphrey leaves Hibs

Last updated : 12 May 2017 By Steve Forbes

Hibs winger Chris Humphrey has revealed that he is leaving after his short term deal ends.

Humphrey signed for the Hibees in December after his Preston North End contract was ripped up, but after an impressive debut against Dundee Utd, he was plauged with injury and failed to hold down a first team spot.

Speaking to the Edinburgh Evening News, he said:

“It was an honour to play for a club like Hibs and to pay a small part in helping them return to the Premiership. “I really enjoyed my time at the club, but then I suffered the injuries and that stopped me playing as much as I had hoped. I am now fully fit and I have one or two options back in England.”

The Jamaican international becomes the latest departure from Easter Road as Hibs boss Neil Lennon reshapes his squad, ahead of the assualt on the Premiership.

Humphrey managed 8 appearances in a green & white shirt.

Alex Harris and James Keatings have already left, with Keatings signing a pre-contract with Dundee Utd.

Hibs-Mad wishes Chris all the very best in the future.
