Beuzelin wants Hibs return

Former Hibs midfielder Guillaume Beuzelin has today issued a come and get me play to the Hibees.

Boss John Hughes has already stated he has a couple of out-of-contract players on his radar, and he hopes to have both on board for Saturday’s game with Hamilton.

The Hibees have been linked with a swoop for “Boozy” all summer after he was released by Championship side Coventry City, and Hughes seemed to rule it out last week, but Beuzelin is hoping he can return to Easter Road.

Beuzelin left Easter Road for Coventry under freedom of contract last summer, but fell out-of-favour with manager Chris Coleman and negotiated a release from his contract at the Ricoh Arena.

The 30-year-old Frenchman said:

“I’m disappointed that I have not been able to find a new club. I’m still training with Celtic to stay fit, but there are no options for me just now.

“I’m still living in Edinburgh so I’ve heard all the rumours about me going back to Hibs and, of course, I would like to, but it’s not my decision whether that happens or not.

“Now that the window is closed there won’t be many clubs that have money left. I just don’t know why things are not happening for me.”
