A younger than normal Hibs U20 side was back in action last night, as they faced off against Spartans at Ainslie Park.
As a number of the U20 side have been sent out on loan, and promoted to the first team, the squad was flooded with kids from the U17 side.
Young defender Black was involved in the first bit of action of note, when he picked up a pretty bad head knock, which seen him bleeding quite badly, thankfully the ref allowed him to be patched up, and with a change of shirt, he was back on the pitch.
Hibs took the lead, on a bitterly cold night, through Dean Horribine, after 35 minutes, and that's how it stayed until half time.
The young Hibees were much improved after the break.
Smith made in 2-0 on the hour mark.
Defender Bradley Donaldson made it 3-0 on 75 minutes, with a powerful header from a corner.
Young winger Alex Harris added a 4th in injury time, and secured a good win for the young Hibees.
The Hibs line-up was:
Grant, Black, Baptie, McFarlane, Gold, Donaldson, Horribine, Court, Smith, Paul, Harris.
Hibs U20's next game is this Saturday against Livingston at East Mains, with an 11am kick off.
